WILLIE DEAN (BONKO) BROWN

Willie Dean (Bonko) Brown the son of William Thomas and Ethel Elliott Brown was born in Shirley, Arkansas on May 9, 1933 and passed away at his home in Higden, Arkansas on May 16, 2012 at the age of 79 years.

Mr. Brown had been a resident of Higden since 1982 having moved there from Illinois.  He was a 30 year retired employee of Caterpillar working as a heavy equipment operator.   His religious belief was Baptist and he had been a member of the Masons for over 40 years, a Shriner having rode in Parades with the organization, member of the American Legion and VFW having served in the United States Army and he enjoyed hunting, camping and blue grass music.

He was preceded in death by his parents William Thomas Brown and Ethel Brown and two brothers J. C. Brown and Thomas Brown.  He is survived by his wife Ella Lois Bittle Brown of Higden, two sons Ricky Brown and wife Pam of Higden and Roger Brown and fiancée Deborah Majors of Heber Springs, three sisters Lodeen Trammel of Greers Ferry, Doris Graddy of Morganton and Wanda Jean Berger of Independence, Missouri and a special granddaughter Debbie Brown, besides nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be on Saturday, May 19, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the Shiloh Crossroads Church in Greers Ferry and funeral services will be at the church on Sunday, May 20, 2012 at 2:00 PM by Rev. Benny Foster.  Pallbearers will be Darrell Trammell, Larry John Davis, Nick Stark, Cecil Murphree, Brian Smith and Jimmy Beardsley; Honorary Pallbearers will be Randy Trammell, Dale Deckard, Jim Beardsley and Rodney James.

 

KATHLEEN ANN BILBREY

Kathleen Ann Bilbrey the daughter of Jack Benny and Beatrice Irene Manikey Peterson was born in Downey, California on October 31, 1951 and passed away at her home in Joy, Arkansas on May 12, 2012 at the age of 60 years. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Charles David Bilbrey and a brother Clifton Peterson.
She was a homemaker. She is survived by a son Charles David Bilbrey of Searcy a daughter Wendy Wooten of Judsonia, a son Steven Michael Bilbrey of Colorado and two brothers Larry Peterson and Jack Peterson besides other relatives and many friends.
No services are planned by the family at this time.

JACKIE JEANNE NORRIS

Jackie Jeanne Norris the daughter of Raymond Jack and Leona Staup Rhoades was born in San Jose, California on November 13, 1941 and passed away at her home in Shirley, Arkansas on May 12, 2012 at the age of 70 years.
Jackie was a retired office manager for the Memphis Sport Shooting Association of Lakeland, Tennessee and was an avid shot gunner. She enjoyed sport shooting of all kinds and golf. Her religious belief was of the Lutheran Faith and she had been a resident of the Shirley Community for the past 7 years moving from Arlington, Texas.
She is survived by her husband James Eugene Norris of Shirley, Arkansas and two sons Jeff Higbie of Ridgeland, Mississippi and Jerry Higbie of Lucedale, Mississippi besides other relatives and many friends.
There are no services planned by the family at this time.

RUBY MARIE BLAKE

Ruby Marie Blake the daughter of Willie and Feba Eunice Bryant Rison was born in Paris, Kentucky on June 12, 1943 and passed away at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas on May 10,, 2012 at the age of 68 years.
She was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 2 sisters and her two husbands Wayne F. Johnson and Albert Yancy Blake SR.
She is survived by a brother Tommy Rison of Lexington, Kentucky and a sister Deborah Arnold and husband Boe of Quitman, two daughters Audrey Arnold and husband Louis Gene of Quitman and Charlotte S. Stipe and husband James Wesley of Enola. She is also survived by grandchildren: Margaret Louanne, Johnathan David, James William, Katherine Annamarie and Junior, great grandson Drake Osborne, step grandchild Tee Jay Arnold, nephew Christopher Arnold and niece Mary Ann aFaye besides other relatives and many friends.
She had been a resident of Quitman for the past 41 years and was a homemaker and was of the Baptist Faith. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and enjoyed doing word search puzzles, picture puzzles, cooking and was an avid quilter. She was a wonderful sister, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Justin Glenn Webb was a loving son and nephew. He was the son of Joel and Martha Jones Webb and was born in Batesville, Arkansas on September 12, 1984 and passed away in Concord, Arkansas on May 4, 2012 at the age of 27 years.
Justin had lived most of his life in Floral area and was a construction worker. He attended the Arbanna Baptist Church. He enjoyed 4 wheeling fishing and hunting.
Justin was preceded in death by his father Joel Webb and his mother Martha Webb and his grandfather George Solida. He is survived by his Biological mother Joann Weger and his step father Jake Weger of Oklahoma, his biological father Justin Solida and step mother Vickie Solida of Bald Knob and grandmother Erma Solida. He is also survived by 3 brothers Joseph Solida, Kaleb Solida and Jacob Solida, and a sister Candice Green besides many aunts, uncles and cousins, other relatives and many friends.
A visitation will be held Sunday, May 6, 2012 at Family Funeral Service, 100 West Searcy Street in Heber Springs from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 7, 2012 at 1:00 PM in Family Funeral Chapel by Rev. Jim Chandler of the Arbanna Baptist Church. Interment will follow at the Ballews Chapel Cemetery in Grubbs, Arkansas

Cora Merlin Banks the daughter of Clarance Orvil and Jane Edna Everett Wilson was born in Prim, Arkansas on June 6, 1937 and passed away in Little Rock, Arkansas on May 2, 2012 at the age of 74 years.
She was a farmer and her religious belief was Pentecostal. She attended the Parma Full gospel Church and enjoyed her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Harold Landon Banks, two brothers Paul Wilson and Louis Wilson and a sister Ruby Dollar.
Survivors are her son Harold Gene Banks of Quitman, daughter Gloria Bittle of Greenbrier, son Landon Banks of Quitman, son C. L. Banks of Prim and daughter Christy Dieckmann of Greers Ferry. She is also survived by two brothers Arlen Wilson and Bill Wilson and two sisters Leona George and Azalea Carlton besides14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 4, 2012 at the Prim Hilltop Holiness Church from 6:00 until 8:00 PM and Funeral Services will be at the church on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at 10:00 AM followed by interment in the Everett Cemetery.
Officiating services will be Rev. Dennis Knapp and pallbearers will be Brandon Wells, Shawn Crow, Jack Robinson, Nick Rushing, Derrick Brown and Daniel Banks, honorary pallbearer will be Christopher Lockard.

Frederick Laverne Blanchard the son of Leroy Blanchard and Anna Marie Ohavor Blanchard was born in Gardena, California on December 23, 1928 and passed away at his home in Clinton, Arkansas on April 16, 2012 at the age of 83 years.
Fred was a member of the Botkinburg Four Square Full Gospel Church and he was a retired general contractor. He had lived the past 30 years in Clinton coming from California.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents 2 brother Robert Blanchard, and Paul Blanchard, sister Virginia Mankins a son Michale Blanchard, and 4 step children Eldon Byrns and Lloyd Byrns, Sharon Byrns and William Byrns.
He was married to Ruth Helen Rakes Blanchard who survives him. He is also survived by a son Steve Blanchard of Oxnard, California and a daughter Jamie Ruth Banks of Tivoli, Texas and daughter Linda Warner of Beaverton, Oregon, sisters Barbara Cobabe of Hermose, California, step children, Anthony Byrns of Berkley, West Virginia, Getty Byrns of Reding, California. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren besides other relatives and many friends.
A Visitation will be held on Friday, April 20, 2012 at the Botkinburg Four Square Full gospel Church at 1:00 PM and funeral services will be at the church at 2:00 PM by Pastor Ester Bass. Interment will follow in the Dennard Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Rocky Thomas, Donnie Hanner, John Carlock, Danny Pistole, Harold Webb and Ronald Watts.
